Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 : Marrakesh – Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Dades
Marrakech Desert Tours 4 Day starting from Marrakesh at 8 am to travel over the stunning High Atlas mountains through Tizi n’Tichka (alt 2260 m). We will stop to enjoy impressive landscapes and visit the Argan oil cooperative. After lunch at a local restaurant, we will have the afternoon to visit the UNESCO World Heritage site, Ait Ben Haddou. We will depart to Ouarzazate for dinner and accommodation in a traditional hotel.
Day 2: Dades – Todra Gorges – Jorf – Er rissani – Merzouga (Camel Ride & Night in Desert)
After breakfast, we go from Dades gorges to the erg Chebbi Sahara desert in Merzouga. Berber villages are scattered along the way, we’ll pass through Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud where we’ll feel the beginning of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet, and we continue to Merzouga, after relaxing few minutes in Merzouga, we go to ride the camels who are waiting to take us on an adventure in the dunes. we will spend the night in a camp (Nomad Berber tents) with drums music in the middle of the Sahara, this is a great opportunity to take lovely pictures of the sunset and sunrise, when we arrive at the camp we go to a high dune to see the sunset, we will spend the night in nomad tents.
Day 3 : Merzouga – Berber Nomad Families – Black Desert – Desert Mountains – Merzouga
We’ll drive to Hassi Labied, Khamlia, and M’fis to see locals showing their desert foxes. You may also see desert reptiles and mammals in Khamlia, a village of black Sudanese slaves who welcome visitors with whiskey Berber tea, and spiritual Gnawa music. After leaving Khamlia, our next stop is a panoramic view of golden dunes near the Algerian border, where we may stop for a picnic lunch under a tree before visiting a Nomad family, who live in Berber tents and care for a herd of cattle, goats, and camels. You will meet the family and learn about their way of life while enjoying a cup of tea. After that, visit black volcanic rock sites. If there’s water in Yasmina lac, you’ll be amazed by the dunes and lake (springtime) After that, we’ll stay in Merzouga’s dunes hotel.
Day 4 : Merzouga – Erfoud – Ziz Valley – Azrou – Ifrane – Fez
After taking a shower and breakfast we’ll start our tour to Fez, through the middle atlas mountains, visiting ziz Valley, Medilt, Azrou, cedar forest, and Ifrane. We will arrive at Fez in the evening End of your Marrakesh 4 Days Tour.
